Even the best copywriters get stuck with composing a good email subject line. A subject line generator can provide a couple of smart lines or at least give some inspiration. Most email subject line generators are free and easy to use. Just enter the word and choose between the suggested combinations. All of the tools below are free. They are listed here in random order to encourage experimentation.
Some provide guidelines such as ActiveCampaign’s subject line generator. It directs the user to choose a keyword category (Benefit, Topic, Pain Point) and enter your keyword. You can see 4 suggested subject lines at a time. To see new combinations, click Generate more suggestions. Other ESPs draw from a large data based or invoke AI. Others suggest longer titles, headlines and content for blogs, articles, etc. but these work perfectly well in generating possible new subject lines.
Hint: Use one of the subject line generators below and put one or two results into an A/B test vs. one that you consider a control. At least you’ll have some fun and maybe gain some new insight into what works better.
